No such thing!??
.
I used to hate my broad shoulders. I’d slump my posture to make them look smaller.?
.
As I started dabbling in strength training and gaining some muscle, I shied away from wanting to train my upper body too much for fear of getting ‘too big’ I would always opt for training my lower body.?????
.
When I first started working with @joeparish my coach over 2 years ago, I made sure to be very clear about how I needed to prioritise building my legs instead of my arms and shoulders.
Thankfully he ignored me and knew exactly what I needed to do. Ever the good (ish) client, I followed my training programs to the letter.?
.
Turns out I loved training upper and before long found myself focusing more on my upper body than my lower, as this is where I was also seeing the most progress.??
.
I now love my arms and shoulders and love getting compliments about them and how people would love to have shapely shoulders/arms like mine. Now, it isn’t all about the compliments, but I now have the confidence to show them off, I stand tall and proud with my shoulders, big, round, shapely and strong.??
.
After spending nearly 30 years of slouching and hating them, I now love them and the changes I’ve made to them and this year I even asked my coach to prioritise my shoulders in order for me to grow them even more.????
.
Gaining muscle as a women if often difficult, it takes a lot of effort and consistency over a long period of time, but your body WILL change – thats the goal.
