Little bit of a different  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/feelgoodfriday\">#feelgoodfriday<\/a> ?<\/p>\n<p>I have been feeling pretty burnt out recently &#038; just when I think I\u2019m recovered, my body kindly reminds me that I\u2019m not ?<br \/>\n\u00b7<br \/>\nIt\u2019s been a crazy start to the year, so much to do &#038; so much happening on all different levels. I haven\u2019t been managing my stress levels well (balancing out the madness with enough down time and self care) &#038; I have not been sleeping well for a couple of weeks. I manage to get to sleep &#038; \u2018sleep\u2019 but my mind races the whole night. I wake up after a nights sleep, exhausted ?<br \/>\n\u00b7<br \/>\nEven though I know my body requires more rest, the gym has been my saviour recently as it\u2019s been \u2018my hour or two\u2019 of the day where I can switch off &#038; let the endorphins take over ?<br \/>\n \u00b7<br \/>\nMy eating also hasn\u2019t been great &#038; I\u2019ve really noticed the difference when I\u2019ve not had time to prep and had to grab something on the go, it\u2019s becoming better since finding the amazing @leangreenprep, having their yummy, delicious meals prepped for me weekly have truly made such a difference to my mood &#038; happiness ?<br \/>\n \u00b7<br \/>\nAfter the weekend I also picked up a slight niggle in my knee, which I feel has added stress to my body as I want to train hard but struggle to, as proved last night with my deadlift numbers going down from the week before ?<br \/>\n \u00b7<br \/>\nAll of these things are a clear sign to me that I seriously need to take some rest. I will not be training today or over the weekend (as I&#8217;m also off up to Scotland to see my friend @carlymalc). I\u2019m going to do my absolute best to recharge &#038; focus on just letting my body calm down, re set in the hope that as from next week it\u2019ll be ready to start some serious training. New goals ??<br \/>\n\u00b7<br \/>\nWhy am I telling you his? Well life happens, there are times when you cannot avoid what life throws at you, but the key lies in managing what comes up, being aware, getting the support you need (from my coach @joeparish) &#038; giving yourself some grace to find your balance again ??<br \/>\n\u00b7<br \/>\nHeatlth is not a destination.
