So it’s January 3rd! I’m still trying to get into the swing of the new year and this got me thinking ?

New Year Resolutions are they really worth it?!?

Everyone seems to make a resolution whilst drunk or in the moment.
• I’m going to eat healthier
• I’m going to join a gym
• I’m going to lose a stone
• I’m going to drink more water
• I’m going to run a mile everyday
Etc, etc, etc

The only problem is they try to do all of the above all at once!

Is this really the best way to do it?!?

‘Resolutions aren’t worth the words said, especially at midnight after a few too many Ribenas ?’ (said a very wise person once!)

If you want to do something to make your life better, happier, healthier…choose one thing a week to implement, start small…
• 1 less spoonful of sugar in your coffee
• eat breakfast
• eat vegetables at each meal
• walk 20 mins 2-3 times a week
• drink 1 glass of water upon waking
• drink red not white wine (well it’s a start ?)

Adding small changes in weekly or monthly you are more likely to keep up with them as they will become part of your lifestyle. At the end of he day this is a lifestyle change not a quick fix!

I’ve been ill during the festivities, so I’m just starting to feel a little more human and ready to get back to eating and training, no silly detoxes or mad crazy training routines, just back to what I was doing before the festive period arrived. It will take a little longer no doubt to get back to where I was but this isn’t a sprint it’s a marathon, one for life!

Enjoy your first day back at work!

What one thing will you implement today or this week?!?
