What’s the best food to eat and when should I eat it?!
Rest day is here again and the best part for me by far is varying my food sources. Unfortunately, as much as I LOVE my eggs I’ve discovered my body doesn’t always agree and has an annoying tendency to bloat if I have too many. So, a nice treat when I’m off the gym and fats are higher.
Today breakfast consisted of heck sausages and scrambled egg.
Macro breakdown:
393 calories
2.5g carbs
22g fats
61.8g protein.
And most importantly…it was delicious!
Am I saying you should be having the same? Of course not!
Our bodies are unique; you need to play with your foods to see what works best for you. I struggle to eat carbs before mid-afternoon anyway whereas some of my clients need those carbs first thing. As long as you’ve got an awareness of the foods you’re consuming and make sensible choices (most of the time!) you’re on the right path.
