When was the last time you helped someone without expecting anything in return??
?
Today I had to pop to the supermarket, yep shock horror ? I know, as anyone who knows me, knows I don’t do shopping.
?
I was at the check out with a ‘real human’, I don’t like the automated self check outs, they never work for me and I always end up needing a human anyway, plus when I do go shopping which is a very rare occasion, I like to actually speak to people.????
?
So I had purchased my bits and ready to walk away, when I overheard the guy behind me say to the lady on the till ‘I only have £10 and I’m not sure if I have enough to pay for what I have in my basket’ So I pretended to faff with my purse, receipt etc, his bill came to over £10, I instantly handed the lady on the till some extra money to pay for the rest of it, turned to him and said have a great day. His face beamed with a smile as he said thank you.??
?
The feeling I got as I walked away to know I’d made him smile and happy inside for him to be able to walk out with his shopping gave me such joy.?
?
Do something nice this week for someone else, with or without them knowing and just see how it makes you feel.?
?
It has certainly made my day a brighter one.?
?
Life can be chaotic, cramped with so much to do that we become too tired or absent minded to go out of our way to do somthing NICE for someone else & get far too caught up in our own sh*t to be nice and care about others.?
?
Go and make someone else smile and spread that human nature and joy that we all possess.?
?
Happy Monday!???????
